Drop an MP3 or other browser-supported audio file. Analysis runs locally in your browser; your track is not uploaded. BPM is an estimate and can read half-time or double-time for complex music.
Play or seek through the selected audio file here.
Tonal match score (%): how closely the detected notes fit the chosen key's musical profile. It is a comparison score, not the probability that the key is correct.
Strong match: this key scores noticeably better than the next-best key. Moderate match: the leading key has some advantage, but alternatives may fit too. Low match: the analyzer cannot clearly distinguish the leading key from alternatives.
A score like 54% does not mean 54% certainty. Use the category as a guide and verify uncertain tracks by ear or with a trusted reference.
Key and Camelot results are estimates based on sampled tonal content. Mixed keys, vocals, and heavy percussion can affect accuracy.
SMART TRACK PROFILE
Tune your guitar using your device microphone. Allow microphone access, pluck one string at a time, and tune until the needle is centered.
Select a string to hear its reference pitch continuously. Use Next String to move through the chosen tuning, or Play All Strings to hear the sequence.
Press Start Tuner and allow microphone access.
Import a MIDI file to see its actual note sequence in a scrolling piano roll and play the complete arrangement. This uses the open-source html-midi-player / Magenta.js player. Your file stays in the browser.
Choose a MIDI file. The piano roll will show the notes as the song plays.
The MIDI player handles the song timeline and note sequence. Drum/bass pattern layering uses the lab’s own sequencers; because browser MIDI players can have different playback clocks, the layers are best treated as accompanying loops rather than a perfect re-render of the original multitrack MIDI.
